Please join us to learn about the fascinating firefly on a guided walk at Hopkins Farm Brewery!

"Join naturalists from the Susquehannock Wildlife Society at Hopkins Farm Brewery during their exciting 5th Anniversary Celebration as we take a leisurely night hike around the farm property to witness one of nature's greatest wonders, the bioluminescent symphony of light put on by the firefly, a tiny native beetle that is known for its ability to communicate through its built in illumination. While we walk we will enjoy the firefly light show along the fields and forest edge and hopefully discover some other nocturnal wildlife along the way. Before the hike we will gather to talk about fireflies, how you can help protect them, and our work with local wildlife.
** This event is weather and firefly dependent, our rain date will be TBD.
** Tickets are free but a $10 suggested donation is appreciated! Event is limited due to space on trail so first come first served. While supplies last, kids will receive a special gift.
** We will meet just outside of the main brewery entrance where we will have a sign and small table at 8:30pm and hike along the mowed trail that goes back to the forested area and creek behind the brewery. The trails are not paved so please wear sturdy shoes. Please arrive before 8:30pm if you want to visit one of the food trucks or to grab a beer to enjoy with the hike.
*All ages welcome! Must be 21 yo to drink beer.
*No outside alcohol or pets permitted.
*Last call for beer is around 9pm
