Deer Creek Friends Meeting is a wonderful community of kind souls who have welcomed my mother and me since we moved to Harford County. Quakers, also called Friends, are known for practicing silent worship and at Deer Creek, they start with a presentation made by one of the Friends, followed by about 30 minutes of quiet, where anyone is free to speak if so moved. If you are curious about Quakers or just want to spend a Sunday morning with some sweet people, please join us!
On Sunday, February 1st, my own mother Patricia will be giving the presentation. A gifted and engaging teacher, Mom will be speaking about Buddhism - you won't want to miss it!
