🎉 Join us for a cozy Saturday afternoon full of creativity and inspiration as we dive into the new year and get back to our writing goals!

We will be meeting in Julia's home. Please send an email to hcwriterscircle@gmail.com for the address!

What to Expect:
This meeting will be divided into two parts. The first hour will focus on networking, conversation, sharing inspiring work, and writing prompts. The second hour will be dedicated to in-depth critiques. Feel free to stay for the full duration or come for only a portion of the time!

1p-2p: Creative Connections Hour

  • ✏️ Writing Prompts: Begin with engaging prompts to spark new ideas and keep your creativity flowing. Note: For February we are asking everyone to bring, if desired, a romantic piece to share.
  • 🤝 Networking and Conversation: Connect with fellow writers, exchange contact information, and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere. This is a great time to find new writing friends or a critique buddy!
  • 📚 Share Inspiring Work: Bring a piece of writing to read aloud—a short story, poem, or novel excerpt (yours or someone else’s). You can also share a book that’s recently inspired you to expand our collective reading list.

2p-3p: Critique Session

  • 📝 Critique Session: In the second half, we’ll dive into member submissions for a structured critique session. Explore the strengths of each piece and offer constructive feedback aimed at helping each writer grow. To receive the pieces for critique in advance, email **hcwriterscircle@gmail.com** or check our Discord channel before the meeting.
