Lives of the Great Bhakti Saints
Weekly Bhaktamāl Reading & Discussion
Every Sunday • 10:00–11:00 AM UK Time • Online • Free
Join us each Sunday for a warm and reflective online exploration of the lives, teachings and devotional moods of the great Vaiṣṇava saints through the sacred Bhaktamāl tradition.
In each session, we will read selected passages from Bhaktamāl, explain their meaning in simple and accessible language, and explore the deeper spiritual lessons behind the stories. We will also connect these teachings with the Bhagavad-gītā, Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, Rāmāyaṇa, Mahābhārata and the writings of the great Vaiṣṇava ācāryas, with a particular focus on the Gaudiya Vaiṣṇava tradition.
The purpose of these gatherings is not only to read about great devotees, but to reflect on how their lives can inspire our own practice of Bhakti — through humility, surrender, nāma, sādhu-saṅga, devotion and loving service to Śrī Hari.
This is a welcoming, open-minded and non-judgmental space for sincere seekers and devotees from anywhere in the world. No previous knowledge of Sanskrit, Bhaktamāl or Vaiṣṇava philosophy is required.
Come as you are — listen, reflect, ask questions, share your thoughts and enjoy meaningful spiritual association.
What to expect: Bhaktamāl reading, simple explanation, stories of Vaiṣṇava saints, scriptural connections, Gaudiya Vaiṣṇava teachings, open discussion and practical reflection.
