Once we’ve met people where they are, how do we support movement towards positive change in ways that feel empowering rather than controlling?

This workshop builds on the foundations from Safer Use Conversations 101 to explore how harm reduction conversations can support change while still respecting choice, dignity, and lived expertise.

Through interactive exercises and discussion we will:
• Practice offering information and ideas in ways that support autonomy
• Learn strategies for shifting from directive advice to collaborative problem-solving
• Explore how to support small, meaningful changes that reduce risk and increase wellbeing

Participants are encouraged but not required to attend Safer Use Conversations 101 before this session. People who use drugs, peers, providers, and community members are all welcome.
