Drug Checking 101: Tools for Knowing More
Details
Join us for an interactive virtual workshop exploring drug checking as a harm reduction practice.
There's no label, no guarantee, with drugs from an unregulated source. But there are still ways to find out more about what a person is taking by drug checking. And that knowledge is something people can use, build on, and pass to others in their community.
Using discussion, activities, and practical scenarios, together we'll explore:
- What test strips, FTIR, and mail-based drug checking actually offer, and their limits
- How testing results can inform what someone decides to do next
- What it looks like to support someone else through the experience of checking their supply
Join us if you're a harm reduction community member, a health or social service professional, someone who uses drugs, or someone who cares about someone who does.
You don't need any technical background — just curiosity and an open mind.
