##### Whether you are a complete beginner or you've already written some songs, this is your opportunity to work develop your songwriting.
The workshops take place in an informal, creative and supportive setting. Under the tutor's guidance, we pick up learning points in the craft of songwriting and explore imaginative ideas to help us create and develop our own songs.
We meet on the first Saturday of every month at Stroud Green and Harringay Library, 11am-12:30pm.
In each session we listen to some existing songs and identify some aspects of what makes them work.
Then we focus on one characteristic and explore how we could use it in our own songwriting.
This can include, for example, chord progressions, melody, rhythm and other elements of song composition.
But it is not a technical approach and is open to everyone at all levels - you do not need any musical theory or ability to play an instrument to benefit from the workshops.
