Whether you’re scribbling your first poem or plotting your tenth novel, this is your chance to meet and network with other authors.

If you’ve been looking for that boost, that community, that connection—you won’t find a better place than the RWG.

The romance genre dominates both readership and sales across the globe. Join us to hear romance writer Catherine Burgess break down the romance genre (and why it’s so popular) and discuss how to build a plot driven by love.

Whether you’re writing in the genre, trying to draft a convincing romantic subplot, or even looking for some real-life Valentine’s Day inspiration, you won’t want to miss this talk!

Catherine Burgess graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in plant sciences and spent several years in horticulture and agriculture before taking a risk to pursue her childhood dream of writing books. Catherine is a member of the Rocktown Writers Guild and shares active critique partnerships. She currently resides in the Shenandoah Valley with her family and food gardens. When not writing, she can be found gardening, reading, or hiking.

It all happens starting at 6pm on Wednesday, February 4th at the Massanutten Regional Library.

While we meet at the library, the RWG is neither endorsed by, nor affiliated, with the library.
