[ONLINE] Harry Potter "Sorcerer's Stone" Book Club: Chs 3-4

This week we'll be reading "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone"! Unlike regular book clubs, we're (re)reading the HP novels a few chapters at a time.

We'll be discussing Ch. 3: 'The Letters From No One' and Ch. 4: 'The Keeper of the Keys'. A quick summary: the Dursleys try to keep Harry's Hogwarts letter away from him, so they're bombarded by letters in very magical and creative ways. With this, Vernon Dursley goes even more insane and hides them in a hut on the island—which Hagrid knocks on and reveals that Harry's a wizard! ...And is also a wizarding savior, as Hagrid explains the 'truth' behind Harry's scar and his parents' deaths. So, Harry has quite the eventful birthday.

First-timers are always welcome and the reading is only meant to be a jump-off point for conversation. Don't worry if you're a newcomer, as each book club is independent of each other. It's also fine if you don't have time to read or finish the text; we're an informal bunch and just love to chat!
