[ONLINE] Harry Potter "Sorcerer's Stone" Book Club: Chs 5-6

This week we'll be reading "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone"! Unlike regular book clubs, we're (re)reading the HP novels a few chapters at a time.

We'll be discussing Ch. 5: 'Diagon Alley' and Ch. 6: 'The Journey From Platform Nine and Three Quarters'. A quick summary: Harry first goes to Diagon Alley to go school shopping, meets Draco Malfoy, gets Hedwig, is told by Ollivander that his wand is very curious, and Hagrid takes out a secret package from Gringotts. Then Harry meets the Weasleys at King's Cross Station, runs through Platform 9 3/4, becomes bffs with Ron on the train, meets Hermione, and finally gets his first glimpse of Hogwarts.

First-timers are always welcome and the reading is only meant to be a jump-off point for conversation. Don't worry if you're a newcomer, as each book club is independent of each other. It's also fine if you don't have time to read or finish the text; we're an informal bunch and just love to chat!
