[ONLINE] Harry Potter Discussion: Hermione Granger

Join us at a Harry Potter Discussion! We'll be talking about the lovely (and terrifying) Hermione Granger. A favorite character for many, as her birthday's September 19th (though, this meetup will be on the 14th) I figured we could chat about this complex character.

As regulars will know, we use the theme simply as a starting point. We can go off on any number of tangents (Potter-related or no), so it's a pretty informal discussion/chat. We'll be on Google Meet this week, with the link visible to RSVPs.

Some questions we might touch on:

• How did Hermione's trust (or mistrust) of authority figures change throughout the series?
• What was her 'role' in the Golden Trio?
• Was Hermione the true protagonist of the series? In other words: would Harry have survived without her?
• As much as I love Hermione, she could be ruthless. When did she take things too far? ie: Should she have obliviated her parents without their knowledge?
• Do you like that Ron and Hermione got together?
• How did Hermione's activism shift the plot line? Did her being a muggleborn change things?
• Was Gryffindor the correct Hogwarts House for her?
