[ONLINE] Harry Potter "Sorcerer's Stone" Book Club: Chs 11-12

This week we'll be reading "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone"! Unlike regular book clubs, we're (re)reading the HP novels a few chapters at a time.

We'll be discussing Ch. 11: 'Quidditch' and Ch. 12: 'The Mirror of Erised'. Here's a quick summary: Snape acts super suspiciously, Harry's first Quidditch match goes awry when someone jinxes his broom (but it's okay, he nearly swallows the snitch), Hagrid lets slip about Nicolas Flamel, the trio become obsessed with Flamel, Harry gets his dad’s Invisibility Cloak for Christmas, Harry gets obsessed with the Mirror of Erised, and Dumbledore acts omnisciently (while really wanting some cozy socks, as one does).

First-timers are always welcome and the reading is only meant to be a jump-off point for conversation. Don't worry if you're a newcomer, as each book club is independent of each other. It's also fine if you don't have time to read or finish the text; we're an informal bunch and just love to chat!
