[ONLINE] Harry Potter "Sorcerer's Stone" Book Club: Chs 15-16

This week we'll be reading "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone"! Unlike regular book clubs, we're (re)reading the HP novels a few chapters at a time.

We'll be discussing Ch. 15: 'The Forbidden Forest' and Ch. 16: 'Through the Trapdoor' (we're nearing the end!). Here's a quick summary: Harry and co lose 150 House points (and Gryffindor isn't happy), and while having detention in the Forbidden Forest they try to find out what's killing unicorns—only to find out it's Voldemort! Luckily, Firenze rescues Harry. With things getting serious (and with Hagrid revealing how to get past Fluffy) the Golden Trio decide to go after the Philosopher's Stone to keep it from Voldemort. They go through the various obstacles, until Harry finally goes past the last fire...

First-timers are always welcome and the reading is only meant to be a jump-off point for conversation. Don't worry if you're a newcomer, as each book club is independent of each other. It's also fine if you don't have time to read or finish the text; we're an informal bunch and just love to chat!
