[ONLINE] Harry Potter "Chamber of Secrets" Book Club: Chs 3-4

This week we'll be reading "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets"! Unlike regular book clubs, we're (re)reading the HP novels a few chapters at a time.

We'll be discussing Ch. 3: 'The Burrow' and Ch. 4: 'At Flourish and Blotts'. Here's a quick summary: Ron and the Weasley Twins save Harry from the Dursleys in style—via flying car! We then get our first view of the Burrow, where Mrs. Weasley's justifiably furious, Mr. Weasley asks how the flight went, and poor Ginny puts her elbow in the butter. Next up the Weasleys + Harry go to Diagon Alley for school supplies. Harry accidentally sees Knockturn Alley, we meet Lockhart in his natural environment (surrounded by adoring fans), and Mr. Weasley and Mr. Malfoy fight in the bookstore (...where a mysterious diary is slipped into Ginny's cauldron).

First-timers are always welcome and the reading is only meant to be a jump-off point for conversation. Don't worry if you're a newcomer, as each book club is independent of each other. It's also fine if you don't have time to read or finish the text; we're an informal bunch and just love to chat!
