[ONLINE] Harry Potter "Chamber of Secrets" Book Club: Chs 11-12

This week we'll be reading "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets"! Unlike regular book clubs, we're (re)reading the HP novels a few chapters at a time.

We'll be discussing Ch. 11: 'The Duelling Club' and Ch. 12: 'The Polyjuice Potion'. Here's a quick summary: Hermione steals the Polyjuice Potion ingredients from Snape, Lockhart starts a duelling club, Harry is revealed to be a Parselmouth, and Harry stumbles on yet another crime scene! Then Harry sees Fawkes combust, Harry doesn't tell Dumbledore anything, the trio finish the Polyjuice Potion but find out nearly nothing from Malfoy, and Hermione gets partly turned into a cat.

First-timers are always welcome and the reading is only meant to be a jump-off point for conversation. Don't worry if you're a newcomer, as each book club is independent of each other. It's also fine if you don't have time to read or finish the text; we're an informal bunch and just love to chat!
