[ONLINE] Harry Potter "Prisoner of Azkaban" Book Club: Chs 10-12

This week we'll be reading "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"! Unlike regular book clubs, we're (re)reading the HP novels a few chapters at a time.

We'll be discussing Ch. 10: 'The Marauder's Map' through Ch. 12: 'The Patronus'. Here's a quick summary: the Weasley twins give Harry the Marauder's Map and Harry sneaks into Hogsmeade, where he learns that Sirius Black was the one who betrayed his parents. They learn about Buckbeak's hearing, Harry gets a Firebolt (from a mysterious source), and Hermione reports the Firebolt to the teachers due to her suspicions, so the broom is temporarily taken away. Then, in ch. 12, Lupin teaches Harry the Patronus charm, Harry gets the Firebolt back, and just as he makes up with Hermione... oh no, Ron thinks that Crookshanks has eaten Scabbers!

First-timers are always welcome and the reading is only meant to be a jump-off point for conversation. Don't worry if you're a newcomer, as each book club is independent of each other. It's also fine if you don't have time to read or finish the text; we're an informal bunch and just love to chat!
