[ONLINE] Harry Potter "Prisoner of Azkaban" Book Club: Chs 20-22

This week we'll be reading (and finishing) "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"! Unlike regular book clubs, we're (re)reading the HP novels a few chapters at a time.

We'll be discussing Ch. 20: 'The Dementors' Kiss' through Ch. 22: 'Owl Post Again'. Here's a quick summary: As the rag-tag group makes their way back to the castle Sirius asks Harry to live with them, but the heartwarming moment doesn't last as Remus becomes a werewolf! Chaos unfolds as the animaguses transform, Pettigrew escapes, Sirius tries to stop Remus from being a rampaging werewolf, and dementors join the fray. Harry then wakes up in the hospital, only to not be believed about Sirius' innocence. But Hermione has a nifty time-turner, so she and Harry go back in time to allow both Buckbeak and Sirius to escape (while Harry rescues himself from the dementors with a Patronus). In the aftermath, Remus resigns, term ends, and the kids head out on the Hogwarts Express.

First-timers are always welcome and the reading is only meant to be a jump-off point for conversation. Don't worry if you're a newcomer, as each book club is independent of each other. It's also fine if you don't have time to read or finish the text; we're an informal bunch and just love to chat!

IMPORTANT: We're on Google Meet this week. The link's visible to RSVPs.
