Chauncy Peak and Lamentation Meriden, CT, Guiffrida Park

This event is an easier hike in terms of distance and terrain(as long as it doesn't snow again). Be prepared with durable footwear. I would still pack traction devices. There is climbing up a ridge with great views.

This hike is in Meriden at Giuffrida Park. We are going on a 5ish miles hike. We will summit Lamination Peak first. After the climb down we start climbing to the top of Chauncy Peak. Beautiful southern views as we move across the ridge. Great newer trail will take us back down to the reservoir and cars.

I suggest a small pack with water, snacks, and temperature will dictate what else you need. Cameras are always welcome. I suggest hiking boots. Higher boots with stiff soles have saved me many times. Waterproof boots will help you since we may find mud. And hiking poles are your choice.
There has been a port o potty in the parking area.

This an adult hike through the woods. Dogs on leashes, no children please.
