Hike Mt. Higby from Tynan Park Middlefield CT

This will be a mid level hike up to the summit of Mt. Higby near Meriden. I would not recommend this event for beginners due to elevation and trail conditions.

We will intersect with the New England Trail near the ridge. The hike includes a variety of trail conditions including soft forest footing to loose rock and short scrambles. The hike will be approximately 5 miles and 1000' of climbing. The views facing west are awesome.

Please wear hiking boots, bring a pack with water, bug spray, sunscreen, snacks.
There is no bathroom at the trailhead.

Please check your route, download the GPS at home, know your travel time. Arrive early enough to start at the posted start time.

• The group will not adjust speed or trail route to accommodate your schedule.
• If you cannot attend an event, please cancel 48 hours before. Late cancellations are rude and take away the option for others to join the event.
