Open Mic Night!

Details
OPEN MIC NIGHT:
Susan Campbell found out a few days ago that a class that she teaches on Mondays has been moved to Tuesdays. She has been working on finding a substitute, but no luck. She feels terrible about this and ask asked me to pass along her apologies to the group. We are working on getting a new date for her in February.
Now the good news: We've come up with something that we think you will enjoy almost as much. We've got an incredibly diverse and talented group, and we'd like to hear from all of you. So, instead of a guest speaker, we are going to have our first Open Mic Night!
Everyone in attendance will have the opportunity to sign-up to speak for up to 5 minutes* on any topic that they think will be of interest to a group of Humanists. You can share some esoteric knowledge that you have, sound-off on something that is bothering you, tell a story, recite a poem, or present most anything that you think would be of interest to the group.
You can sign up by announcing that you will present on the comment page to the Meetup (https://www.meetup.com/Hartford-Humanists/events/157147512/) (https://www.meetup.com/Hartford-Humanists/events/157147512/).
You are encouraged (but you are not required) to state what you plan to present so that others might avoid duplicating topics. We are limiting participation to 16 speakers to make sure that we finish at a reasonable hour. If there are open slots, we will accept sign-ups the night of the event.
- Time limits will be enforced! We might be able to go longer than 5 minutes/speaker depending upon the number of people who sign up.
We hope to see you on Tuesday!
