This talk draws on ideas that first made "machines outpacing us" feel like a real question instead of science fiction, and pulls in my own lifelong love of speculative fiction — stories that were never really about robots, they were about us: what we'd protect, what we'd give up, what stays human no matter how smart the machines get.
Is this the real turning point, or another bubble we'll laugh about in ten years? I don't know. Nobody fully does. But if you've ever wondered the same thing, this talk is for you.

**Jisu Dasgupta** doesn't wait for the future — he's been standing inside it, rebuilding it piece by piece, for the better part of two decades. As Senior Director at Maximus and a veteran of Accenture, IBM, and HCLTech, he's led the kind of transformation work most people only theorize about: turning fragmented, chaotic technology environments into intelligent, unified systems at a scale spanning tens of thousands of people across continents.
He was featured by The AI Journal for a blunt thesis the industry needed to hear — that enterprises are pouring money into AI tools while starving the foundations those tools depend on — and his strategic thinking has since appeared across APM Digest and his own platform, ServiceOps Review, where he develops original frameworks for how organizations should actually think about intelligence, automation, and change. In 2026, that thinking was recognized with a major industry award for enterprise transformation.
His way of thinking traces back to a physics degree — a discipline built on finding the underlying laws beneath complex systems, which still shapes how he approaches technology today. He went on to add a Master's in Information Systems Engineering and Management and an MBA, and is currently deepening his edge through MIT's Applied AI and Data Science program — not to chase credentials, but because he refuses to theorize about a future he isn't actively building. He speaks as someone who has been in the room when transformation succeeds and when it quietly fails, and who has strong, unfashionable opinions about which one is more common.
