Biology is a Social Science! @ Franklin BBQ

I'd like to make something clear upfront - I love biology!

However, the notion that it's a science is absurd, and those pushing it are crazy. I mean, all of it is just observing some creature or process in nature and giving it a fancy latin name. And then arguing about that name. And once the name gets old enough, going through some grand reclassification process. Does that sound like a science to you? Or just a bunch of bickering about nothing?

Of course, on the fringes of biology, real science takes place. Molecular biology, for example, is indisputably a science. But is it biology? Once you've zoomed that far in, I'd argue that you're really working in the realm of chemistry or physics!

Overall, I think the biology people are far too full of themselves, and need to be taken down a notch. Join us over some barbecue to bond over our shared disdain for biology!
