Start the Fourth off with a bang. A hike around Hermann Park then among the tall trees and stately buildings of Rice University. About 10 miles. The hike will be on crushed granite and dirt trails with some pavement. Running shoes will be better than hiking boots. There will be a significant amount of shade but some time in the sun too. So please take the proper precautions of a hat, sunscreen and water.
