Join us to explore Armand Bayou trails and Nature Center. It has been a couple of years since the group has visited the trails here. The nature center is an urban preserve located in Pasadena and southeast Houston between the Johnson Space Center and the Bayport Industrial District. The 2,500-acre (10 km2) nature center is the largest urban wilderness preserve in the United States. The nature center is home to more than 370 species of birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. Over 220 species of birds reside or rely on the center as a safe resting-place on their migratory journeys. White-tailed Deer, Red-shouldered Hawk, Opossum, Crow, Armadillo, Coyote, Raccoon, American Alligator, Tricolored Heron and the rare Purple Martin can be found at the center and surrounding areas throughout the year.

The entry fee is $7.00 for the Nature center. The Park Manger is Going to get us through the main as quickly as possible.

Gathering Place: look for the group in the Claghorn Nature Trail parking area.

The Hike: starting at the Claghorn Nature Trail parking lot we will hike over to Armond bayou nature center hike the trails at the center then return to the parking lot

Difficulty: medium. Trail conditions: unpaved nature trails & gravel
