Join us to explore Big Bend National park The Big Bend is named for the vast curve of the Rio Grande in remote southwest Texas. It is a wildly beautiful natural region, with a complex and fascinating history. Over one million acres of public land including Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch this hike we will see the eastern section of the Chisos mountains.

Gathering Place: Look for the group in the parking lot at the Lost mine Trail head

The Hike: This is a challenging out and back hike. The Lost Mine Trail is an excellent introduction to the flora and fauna of the Chisos Mountains. Just one mile into the hike, you'll find a saddle that offers stunning views of Casa Grande, Juniper Canyon, and the larger Chisos basin.
