Join us to explore Pedernales Falls State Park. The Cypress Mill Loop includes a water crossing. I cannot guarantte how much water but there is a water crossing. The trail is rocky, partially shaded, and has many views of hill country.
Pedernales Falls is famous for the Falls. Located at the far end of the park, be sure to stop there before or after this hike.
Pedernales Falls is located one hour west of Austin and one hour east of Fredericksburg. See the camping event Friday and Saturday night. This event is only for the hike.
Pedernales Falls State Park requires a day pass. This park can sell out so reserve one in advance.
Gathering Place:
We will meet at the parking lot for the swim area. Meet at the restroom at the top of the stairs. There is a large parking lot and overflow parking.
The Hike:
We will hike along the swim area to Trammel Crossing, cross the river and follow the Cypress Mill loop. We cross the river a second time on the way back.
Bathrooms: At the start.
