Time for a change of pace hike for HATs and to celebrate the solstice by hiking at night! Since the hike will finish with the twilight, maybe just call it a nightish hike.

The Hike:
The cursed rail trestle bridge over the bayou has reopened. So we can do this hike again. The walk will go through some lovely low traffic residential streets, The Boulevard and the lively 19th street. We will then follow the trail build over the old railroad tracks to get a twilight view of downtown and then back to the start.

The trail is mostly paved. The hike will finish with the end of twilight. Consider bringing a headlamp for better visibility on the uneven sidewalks and transitions to the street.

Trail Safety:
The evenings can be deceptively warm.

Hiking is supposed to be fun. If you don't feel well or can't keep up, tell someone right away. Contact the hike leader. We can help get you off the trail.
