6:00pm Tonight: Silent Reading Costume Party
Details
Join us TONIGHT at 6pm at Haunted Burrow for a costumed Silent Reading Party and non-silent reading of G.G. Silverman's new gothic feminist story collection, The Blood Year Daughter!
The first 10 people to attend will receive exciting giveaways from the author. We'll start with some socializing, a short reading by the author, then read silently for a bit—whatever book you like!—before closing with more socializing. Dress as a vampire, witch, werewolf, or whatever gothic creature you can imagine. We look forward to your fashionably-attired presence!
Bring your own book or purchase a book from the store for the silent reading portion of the night!
Dress in your goth finest or your dark whimsical fancy!
About the Bookstore:
Bathroom: All gender, but small and not normally available to the public because it's in the back office. The owner is making exceptions for people who are at the store for events. The sink is outside the bathroom.
Accessibility: There are no stairs. The bookstore aisles are wide enough for a wheelchair. The bathroom is not, however, and might not be accessible for other disabled people. It's very small and it's in the back office.
Covid: Masks optional. There will be an air purifier.
Parking: Unpaid parking is a bit of a walk, but there's paid street parking nearby and a cheap paid lot on the same block. Attendees are encouraged to use public trans.
Drinks are welcome, but please no food unless medically needed.
Thank you!
