This group is for those who refused to sit at home on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Honolulu. Together we can explore museums, live music, and cultural events around the beautiful island of Oahu.

Honolulu City Lights Parade

Date: Saturday, November 29, 2025
Parade start time: 6:00 PM we can meet at 5PM.
Location: Downtown Honolulu, along King Street from River Street to Kawaiaha'o Street
Opening festivities: A block party starts at 4:00 p.m. along Punchbowl Street, followed by the Mayor's Tree Lighting Ceremony at Honolulu Hale at 6:00 p.m.
What to expect: The electric light parade features decorated floats, vehicles, and bands. After the parade, there are often free photos with Santa and other entertainment.

Getting there: to avoid trying to find each other in a crowded area I usually recommend we meet at the Starbucks at the Kamehameha shopping center. from there can carpool or share a lyft, if you prefer to meet us there at a later time that’s fine, but I don’t make any promises on finding you!

A Charlie Brown Christmas
Blue Note Hawaii, 2335 Kalakaua Avenue, Honolulu, HI, USThe Blue Knight hosts a Charlie Brown Christmas event featuring Vince Guaraldi's entire soundtrack. Guaraldi, one of the greatest jazz musicians, is known for his work on Charlie Brown and collaborations with bossa nova artists. Whether you're a Peanuts fan or a jazz enthusiast like me who's a fan of Vince Guaraldi, this is a great way to spend Christmas on the islands. There are many reasons that bring us together; if you can’t return to your mainland family or prefer not to hang out with local family, join me to enjoy some holiday fun!
