Do you want to enjoy the benefits of walking and adding the many benefits of sea water.
This is the group for you. It is friendly and informal adult Sea Walkers. We are meeting in Hayling Island usually at the week-end.
Benefits of sea walking:
- positive mental impact: soothing and relaxing effect.
Please refrain talking during the session as we can always share stories in a nearby CafΓ©/Pub before and/or afterwards,
- gentle massage: a lymphatic drainage
- improve blood flow and provide a good legs drainage to combat heavy legs syndrome
- a natural and gentle exfoliation, a smoothed skin (for the skin with direct contact to the sea water).
- firming of the flesh, reinforce immune system
And don't forget, the others more direct effects:
- leg workout as water resistance, current and tide, make moving harder than thin air
- alleviate the weight on joints while walking, so can keep the range of motion and use the muscles
- the best you burn fat to keep the body temperature at 37C.
And all of these benefits without even breaking a sweat: you are in the water!
To be on the right side, we recommend at least a "shorty" and a change of warm clothes.
After a while you'll know what you really need!
Warning: Current, tide and wind, safety of yourselves is paramount.
Anyone joining this group needs to be ready to take responsibility for themselves in the water, do their own risk assessment before getting in and stay within their own abilities.
There is no lifeguard around, except yourselves.
We'll be walking, running in the waves. The seafloor is not always even so being able to swim would be recommended.
You are responsible for yourself so sometimes it is wiser to postpone as it is the Sea that commands and don't forget never play with the Sea.
