What we’re about
We take over an amazing venue in London and get amazing people together, who just so happen to be single. No weird speed dating, no being asked what your favourite colour is, just fun people in a great venue.
And if you’ve been to a Haystack event before, you’ll also know there may or may not be some rouge surprises thrown in.
Could be a rumour…
Ahead of the event we’ll send you a short form to understand a bit more about you, then on the evening we’ll get people together into small groups to chat over a drink. We take some of the logic the dating apps apps use, remove anything superficial and connect you based on common interests.
This is a small part of the night, we do it to give some warm intros and there’s still a lot of opportunity to meet everyone else in the room.
90% of people come alone (yes, most of our friends are also in IKEA with their fiancé’s on Friday evening) but we attract a great group of people so please never be wary of coming solo.

We’re so excited to be taking over the iconic Golf Fang (yes, the one with the slide lol), bang in the middle of Cardiff city centre!
No swiping.
Absolutely never any awkward speed dating (we’d honestly rather eat a shoe x).
Just a fun people in a great venue, who just so happen to be single.
But don’t worry, we don’t just aimlessly launch you into a room of people and leave you to it.
For a part of the evening, we’ll use tech to introduce you to a group of people to play a round of mini golf with that you have similar interests and values to, who are also age appropriate and your sexuality.

HAYSTACK DATING | ROCK CLIMBING | BRIXTON | SATURDAY 15TH NOVEMBER
Substation, Unit 13, Ellerslie Square Industrial Estate (off Lyham Road), SW2 5DZ, London, GBWe’re so excited to be taking over Substation, Brixton’s huge climbing centre, and filling it with single people. And the whole place is ours for the night.
When you arrive from 6pm, you’ll grab a soft drink, meet a few new faces, and after an intro, we’ll get you ready for the climbing session. Using our tech, we’ll match you into small groups with people who you have things in common with to climb together, who are also age appropriate and your sexuality.
No experience is necessary (I promise), the amazing team at Substation will be there to show you the ropes!
Climbing runs from around 7:30 to 9:30pm, but the night doesn’t stop there. Afterwards, we’ll head into Substation’s café-bar for a proper social. We’ve brought in a DJ to set the vibe, so you can grab a drink and enjoy the eve.
