A Hot Afternoon's 5 KM/3 Mile Walk in Maggie Valley

Park behind the Maggie Valley Town Hall, 3987 Soco Road, Maggie Valley 28751. We will meet at 2:00 p.m. Town Hall is closed on Sunday, so you will need to take care of your restroom needs before arriving.

The walk is pretty flat. Tennis shoes are fine; walking poles aren't needed. It's going to be blazing hot, so dress appropriately for the weather; consider a hat and sunscreen. Bring lots of water and a protein snack. Dogs are welcome. Strollers are fine.

We will walk east on Soco Road for a mile and a half. We will cross Soco Road, where we will find restrooms at Parham Memorial Park. We will walk west on the opposite side of Soco Road, finally returning to the Start Point.

Sights along the way include Wheels through Time Motorcycle Museum, Maggie Valley Festival Grounds, and Elevated Creek Park.

This is a short, easy walk, mostly on pavement. Hope to see you there!
