It's Leaf Color Season in West Waynesville—Let's Take a 6 KM/3.7 mi. Walk

Meet in front of Mast General Store, 63 N. Main St., Waynesville NC 28786. This walk goes around Green Hill Cemetery, through Auburn Park, past the Waynesville Library, and to Frog Level. We will pass public art and points of interest. Bring your cameras for the blazing leaf colors.

There are some hills, so some may want walking poles (I will be taking both of mine); sneakers should be fine. Dogs are welcome. Strollers should be ok, though it will require one or two work-arounds. Bring plenty of water and a protein snack. Dress appropriately for the weather.

Parking is easier a block to either side of Main Street. Mast General Store doesn't have a public restroom, but we can direct you to one nearby should you need it.
