Historic Downtown Columbia SC Walk—State House, USC Campus, and More!

Meet at 12:00 p.m. in the lobby of the Hampton Inn, 822 Gervais Street, Columbia 29223 (enter the lobby from the Liberty Street side). Restrooms are available at the start point.

This is a 5 KM/3.1 mile walk. The trail takes you around the State House grounds, through the USC campus, and through the historic section of Columbia. We will see public art, a bit of downtown, and more.

There are some moderate hills and stair climbing, but it is almost entirely on pavement. Tennis shoes are fine; most won't want walking sticks or hiking boots.

Water and a protein snack are advised as always.
