Walk the 6 Mile Ecusta Trail from Hendersonville to Horseshoe

Meet the group in front of Ecusta Market & Cafe in Horseshoe, 877 Lenox Park Dr., Hendersonville NC. It is located in Lennox Station. Wait, you say! The title says we are walking from Hendersonville to Horseshoe. So we are. We will use half the cars to carpool from Horseshoe to Hendersonville. We will walk from Hendersonville to Horseshoe. Then we will take the other half of the cars to carpool back to Hendersonville.

However, before we carpool back to Hendersonville, perhaps we will spend a few minutes enjoying the Ecusta Market with its relaxed grocery store and cafe featuring local goods, sandwiches, and salads.

The Ecusta Trail is a gem with well-marked street signs and lights. It is very smooth and scenic. The trail is very easy walking with room for people, even if we are sharing the trail with bikes.

Dress for the weather. Tennis shoes are fine. Walking sticks are not needed. Bring plenty of water and a protein snack. While the trail itself is fine for strollers and wheelchairs, reviews say getting from your car to the trail and back is most difficult. Dogs are welcome. There are restrooms at the Hendersonville Visitor Center (mile post 0 for the trail).
