Meet inside the Baker Visitor Center at 12:00 p.m. Restrooms are available at the start point.

We will stroll through the Gardens, walk down Running Cedar Road, cross over on Bent Creek Road, and then take Wesley Branch Trail to the Lower Willow Pond Trail. After exploring the Willow Pond, we will make our way back to the Baker Center.

Dress for the weather. Some may want walking poles. Sneakers should be fine, unless it has rained recently. Be sure to bring plenty of water and a protein snack.

Dogs on leash are welcome but are not allowed in buildings or the Bonsai Exhibit. Trail strollers should be ok.

The NC Arboretum does not have an admission fee, but they charge $20 per car parking fee (so pack your Valentine and as many additional people in your car as you can). We recommend for the driver to purchase the lowest level annual membership which includes free parking. (Of course, you may want a higher-level membership, your choice.) We walk at the Arboretum at least six times per year.

Hint: Food is available in the Education Center. You may want to take your Valentine to eat there.
