Walk—Peanut Butter Lover's Day—Maggie Valley Starting at McCracken Corner Park
Details
It's National Peanut Butter Lover's Day on March 1! If you will walk with me that day, I will bring some peanut butter snacks to share at the end!
Meet at McCracken Corner Park, 56 State Rd 1307, Waynesville 28785 (Moody Farm Road/State Road 1307 intersects Soco Road twice; this is the eastern intersection with a traffic light further from Maggie Valley). We will meet at 2:00 p.m.
Note: There is no restroom at the start point. Our route will pass a convenience store, and there is a restroom about halfway through the walk at Parham Memorial Park. Please plan accordingly.
Dress for the weather; consider a hat and sunscreen. The walk is pretty flat, all on pavement except for a short portion near the end. Tennis shoes are fine; walking poles aren't needed (although I plan to bring one). Bring plenty of water and a protein snack. Dogs are welcome. Strollers are fine.
We will walk up Soco Road to Parham Memorial Park (the western intersection of Moody Farm Road/State Road 1307 and Soco Road). Then we will walk along Moody Farm Road, with one short side excursion, back to the start point.
Hope to see you there!
