Walk Brevard to See White Squirrels & More!

Our MeetUp group will join with the Asheville Amblers Walking Club, and possibly two or three other groups, for a walking tour of the city of Brevard. Registration is at 9:30 a.m., with step-off at 10:00. Choose between a faster group walking 10 KM (6 miles) and a slower group walking 5 KM (3 miles).

Walk through picturesque neighborhoods, the grounds of a stately old mansion, a quaint park, and a vibrant downtown. End with a stroll through Brevard College, known for its music programs and small school atmosphere; the campus features a swift flowing stream and a fine clock tower. We often seen white squirrels scampering about; how many will you see?

This easy walk has some fairly gentle hills but is mostly on pavement. Dress for the weather. Tennis shoes should be fine; few will want walking poles. Be sure to bring water and a protein snack. Dogs are welcome. Strollers should be ok, with simple workarounds for the place or two where needed.
