2nd Update: The Bonsai in the Blue Ridge ticketed event will be going on June 4 – 7. Admission to the indoor exhibit area is $5. You very well may want to stay after the walk for lunch and the Bonsai event. Plan accordingly.

Meet inside the Baker Visitor Center at 09:30 a.m. Restrooms are available at the start point.

We will walk through the Formal Gardens and the Bonsai Exhibit. Then we will make our way to the Forest Meadow, walking around all the paths. We'll go down Running Cedar Road, across on Bent Creek Road (taking the Creekside Trails), and return on Wolf Branch Road.

Dress for the weather; consider a hat and sunscreen. Some may want walking poles. Sneakers should be fine, unless it has rained recently. Be sure to bring plenty of water and a protein snack.

Dogs on leash are welcome but are not allowed in buildings or the Bonsai Exhibit. Trail strollers should be ok.

The NC Arboretum does not have an admission fee, but they charge $25 per car parking fee (so pack as many people in your car as you can). We recommend for the driver to purchase the lowest level annual membership which includes free parking. (Of course, you may want a higher-level membership, your choice.) The parking fee can be applied to a membership if you join the same day. It's nearly half of the $60 individual membership. We walk at the Arboretum at least six times per year.
