Enjoy a meander through Patton Park and down the Oklawaha Greenway. The walk will be guided, along a relatively flat trail (1 small hill), mostly paved.

We will be doing this walk with the Asheville Amblers, AARP, Stryder, and perhaps some others. The Ambers usually offer a choice between a longer (6-mile), slightly faster walk and a shorter (3-mile), slightly slower walk. The walk is free, although the Amblers do accept donations (suggested donation: $4).

Registration will be at 8:30 a.m. at the Gazebo in Patton Park. Step-off will be at 9:00. The bathrooms at the start are usually open (although if not, there are places nearby to take care of any such needs).

Dress for the weather. Consider a hat and sunscreen. Tennis shoes will be fine. Most won't need a walking stick, although I intend to take one just in case. Bring a protein snack and plenty of water. Strollers and wheelchairs should be ok. Dogs on leash are welcome.

Bring a picnic lunch and a lawn chair. After the walk, we will sit, visit, and eat for a while.

See you there!
