Edible Plants and Herb Swap

Hotel Brotherhood Philadelphia Specialty Urban Gardeners is planning a Neighborhood Edible Plants and Herb Swap at the Hotel Brotherhood on the rooftop deck as part of the activities of the Historic Marker Installation Ceremony & Celebration on Oct 22, 2016 Noon to 3pm. Come out to our meetup on Sept 11, 2016 at 2pm – 4pm at the Hotel Brotherhood USA to participate and bring edibles plants, herbs and seedlings while you help us organize. We guarantee you will get loads of horticultural advice from experts who are familiar with the selection of the best durable plants and herbs for rooftops in our zone, the best soil preparation, the best type of containers and planters, watering methods and sun/shade exposure for fall growth. We also have info on where to get cheap to free plants and seeds. Our experts and other generous donors like you who are invited to participate happen to live right around the corner, or down the block, but all in the same neighborhood of the Hotel Brotherhood.

Drop off your plants on Sept 11 at 2pm and you’ll receive a ticket for every edible plant you drop off then you can exchange your ticket for a plant you pick up on Oct. 22, 2016 from Noon to 3pm. Other activities at the historic marker installation ceremony will include the unveiling of the Hotel Brotherhood Pa Historic Marker, viewing of the names of the Brick Campaign Paving supporters, a welcoming tour of the site, and an overview of the historic significance of the Hotel Brotherhood USA organization. You can also order your brick on Sept. 11, 2016 when you come to our meetup and participate in laying your brick on Oct. 22, 2016 at the installation ceremony.
