• About the museum: ''The museum is housed in the former China Pavilion of Expo 2010, and it is the largest art museum in Asia. It was the most expensive pavilion at the Expo, costing an estimated US$220 million. It is dubbed "the Crown of the East" due to its resemblance to an ancient crown and inspired by the Chinese corbel bracket called dougong as well as the ancient bronze cauldron called ding. It has a collection of about 14,000 artworks, mainly of Chinese modern art.Such as Origin of Chinese modern and contemporary art, Exhibition for noted painters, Art featuring the history and culture of Shanghai, 21st century Chinese art, and Special exhibitions.''

• About this meet up event:

Where:

As it is easy to get there (metro by line 8), we will meet each other in the museum coffee shop upstairs about 41 metres high shown in the map above.

When and How:

You are welcome to come to visit this museum by yourself first, and we will meet each other at 12:45 P.M. to 13:45 P.M. and get a afternoon tea time with our new and old friends.

After that, we will watch the movie about Edvard Munch from 2:00 P.M. on the ground floor of China Art Museum, and then go to visit the rest of this museum. Last, we will say goodbye to all of you or head to a dinner depending on you.

Cost:

This event is free, and it is free to access this museum and watch the moive.

But the food, drinks and other stuff are not free. It is suggested you to buy at least a drink in the coffee shop cos they are commercial.
