Our topic for our upcoming event is:
Using Information Architecture (IA) and user flows

"If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch you must first invent the universe" - Carl Sagan

Information Architecture is the art of making sense of messy information.

This talk will be based on the learning from the book: How to make sense of any mess, by Abby Covert. Come learn with us how to:
* Identify your mess
* State your intent
* Face reality
* Choose a direction
* Measure the distance
* Play with structure
* Prepare to adjust

Every second week, we open our doors - and our discussions - to a handful of curious minds who want to dive deeper into the world of product creation.

Our Sketchy Ideas sessions explore everything from research best practices to stakeholder management, design-to-dev handovers, presentation skills, and more. The focus leans towards design and analysis, but touches on any skill essential to building great products.

About the Sessions:

  • When: Every second week, 4:30–6:00 PM (please log in or arrive by 4:20 PM to get settled)
  • Where: In-person at Monkey and River (details provided on confirmation), or join online
  • Format: Interactive discussion and knowledge sharing - not just lectures! Bring your thoughts and questions.
  • Guests: We allow up to 5 guest attendees per session.
  • Perks: Light snacks and drinks provided, and you’re welcome to stay afterwards to chat and network.

Who Should Join?
Anyone interested in product creation, design thinking, research, analysis, stakeholder management, or innovation! You don't need to be a designer — just bring your curiosity.
