"And whenever the tormenting spirit troubled Saul, David would play the harp. Then Saul would feel better, and the tormenting spirit would go away." 1 Samuel 16:23

Long before David was a king, he was a worshipper with a harp — and the sound that flowed through his hands was enough to still a troubled soul. God has always known what we sometimes forget: that beauty has power. That sound can reach the places words cannot. That music, offered in faith, can make room for healing.

For our very first HOPE experience, we're gathering in one of Houston's most breathtaking historic spaces — the Julia Ideson Library — for an intimate live harp performance by the extraordinary Laurie Meister, presented by ROCO.

The program includes a world premiere piece inspired by murals painted by women artists during the Great Depression — women who chose creativity over despair, beauty over brokenness, sound over silence. Their story is our story. And on this night, we get to sit inside it.
Come to have your cup filled. Come to build community. Come to experience something beautiful.
