For this HOPE Experience, we're promoting the Second Saturday Bird Survey experience hosted by the Houston Arboretum.

We'll meet at the Houston Arboretum at 7:45 AM to hug, pray, and reflect on our centering scripture:

"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" - Matthew 6:26

What to bring:
- A drink to stay hydrated
- Comfortable and weather appropriate clothing
- Binoculars if you have them; the Arboretum has a limited amount

From the Arboretum's Website:
Work on your bird watching skills while helping the Arboretum monitor bird populations on a fun, relaxed morning walk. Join us on the second Saturday of each month for a two-hour bird survey led by Arboretum staff members, Kelsey Low and Theo Ostler. We welcome all levels of bird watching skill and all ages (as long as you’re quiet) – but no dogs, please! If you have binoculars of your own, please bring them. We have a limited number of binoculars available to borrow.

The Arboretum Second Saturday Bird Survey is part of a network of urban bird surveys run by Houston Audubon. Click here to learn more about this community science initiative and where to find more surveys near you.
