## Month 3: From Triggered to Grounded
Understanding Your Nervous System
Have you ever reacted in a way that didn’t feel like you?
Healing isn’t just emotional — it’s physiological.
In this month’s virtual gathering, we’ll explore how your nervous system shapes your reactions, relationships, and sense of safety. Many of the patterns we try to “fix” are actually stress responses that were once protective.
In this session, we’ll gently unpack:
• The difference between fight, flight, freeze, and fawn
• Why certain people or situations trigger intense reactions
• How trauma responses can look like personality traits
• The connection between the body and emotional memory
• What regulation actually means (and what it doesn’t)
We’ll also practice a short, accessible grounding exercise you can use anytime you feel activated.
This is an educational and supportive space. You are not broken — your body may simply be protecting you the only way it knows how.
No one will be required to share personal experiences. You’re welcome to listen, reflect, or participate at your comfort level.
