At any given moment, there are many losses that we might be grieving – and we oftentimes aren’t even aware that we are grieving – and that we need to allow space for this grief to move through us, to be honored, to be seen.

As women growing up and living in a patriarchal society that, historically and generally, does not value women, our Sacred Feminine qualities, our skills, and our contributions to society, we are experiencing a great deal of loss that we simply may not consciously recognize as it is all we have ever known.

The loss of our intuition and psychic abilities, the loss of connection to our bodies, the loss of a healthy sexuality, the loss of our self-worth and self-esteem, the loss of confidence in being ourselves, the loss of autonomy, the loss of safety when we walk down the street, the loss of so many freedoms that come easily to the masculine. The loss of deep connection to our hearts, to our truth, to our authenticity. The loss of knowing and trusting ourselves. And the list goes on.

In addition, during these extreme times we find ourselves in, we have lost jobs, careers, homes, financial security, certainty, stability, relationships. And, of course, there are losses due to death of loved ones.

To fully embrace our healing process, it is vital that we acknowledge our grief, honor it, allow it, give voice to it, let it move through.
