About us
I am a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner and hold a variety of certificates. I enjoy all forms of creativity.
The events are created for all. No experience is necessary just to be open-minded, heart-centered, and receptive to possibility and transformation.
In the past, I've had the pleasure of facilitating my Mandala Workshop for Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Class: Holistic Health With A Different Approach, Essence of Self, Center for Spiritual Living Morristown and art workshops for Community in Crisis where I use art as a tool for meditation and healing. I love to introduce a variety of creative platforms to bring peace, calm, and a sense of community and connection.
Some events will be in the arts such as but not limited to step-by-step Mandala making, Sound bath experiences, Sound bath with guided Healing Touch sequencing.

Tips to make the experience better: Yoga Mat if you choose to lie on the floor (recommended), Bring a blanket to place on the mat and maybe one to cover yourself, a cushion for under the knees to provide additional comfort, an eye cover and anything else to create your ultimate rest nest. Spring Awakening: Yoga Nidra & Sound Journey with Kat Roman
Highland Yoga, 17 Kiel Ave, Kinnelon, NJ, USPre-register here Prana Yoga (formerly Highland Yoga)
Spring Awakening: Yoga Nidra & Sound
Kat is thrilled to share two of her most beloved and deeply transformative practices, Yoga Nidrā and sound woven together into one unique experience. Drawing from her training in both modalities, she will guide Yoga Nidrā alongside the soothing vibrations of her gong, singing bowls and other sacred instruments, crafting an immersive soundscape that supports deep rest, balance, and ease. Participants may find themselves hovering between wakefulness and sleep, held in a deeply restorative state.Yoga Nidrā, often called yogic sleep, invites the body into profound rest while the mind remains gently aware. Paired with sound, the practice supports the nervous system in shifting from an active state into one of restoration, allowing brainwaves to slow and the mind to quiet without needing to do anything at all. In this spacious state, clarity can arise, stress softens, and a sense of renewal becomes accessible.
Kat Roman is an Energy and Sound Practitioner, Meditation Guide, Registered Trauma-Informed Accessible Yoga Teacher, Healing Touch Practitioner, Shamanic Reiki Master and Healing Arts Guide. She is a compassionate facilitator who creates soft, nurturing, and inviting spaces that allow transformation to occur. Her passion lies in guiding people into states where they can slow down, rest, tap into their creativity, and discover their brilliant inner radiance.

As the seasons shift, many common wild plants emerge that can gently support our bodies, offering everything from seasonal allergy relief to nourishing tonics that help us transition from season to season.Shannon will share how to safely identify and work with familiar backyard plants, along with simple, practical ways to incorporate herbs into everyday life during the spring season. Participants will learn about the traditional uses of wild plants, how to recognize their benefits, and approachable ways to begin building a deeper relationship with the natural world around them. Shannon will also bring fresh medicinal plants for attendees to see, touch, smell, and even taste. Engaging our senses is one of the most powerful ways to truly connect with and understand plant medicine.
Enjoy a warm herbal infusion during the presentation and explore a selection of herbal preparations, including Mayernik Kitchen’s best-selling Elderberry Syrup. Come ready to learn, ask questions, and discover how spring’s wild abundance can support vibrant seasonal wellness.
In the second half of our time together, meditation and sound practitioner Kat Roman will guide participants into a deeply restorative Sound Journey. Surrounded by the vibrations of her instruments, you will be invited to integrate the wisdom of the plants through rest and resonance. As Shannon awakens the senses, Kat will offer space for the body to absorb, soften and harmonize.
Together, this experience weaves earth-based herbal wisdom with the subtle medicine of sound, inviting you into alignment with the rhythm of the season.
