Hi and welcome! I'm Mariah (www.MariahJacques.com) and these healing sessions are a lovely combination of Sound and Reiki. I move around the room playing various instruments and sharing non-touch Reiki with all participants. I offer these sessions by donation, and I ask for a monetary donation for an amount that feels good for you to give.
Sound healing is intended to be an experience of receiving, releasing and relaxing. Get comfortable and give yourself permission to receive the healing effects of Reiki and Sounds of various instruments (like crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, chimes, wind wands, shruti box, ocean drum, thunder drum, crystal pyramid, gong and more). Release the things that come up in the experience, allow your attention to settle on the sound - taking the opportunity to give your mind a break from the chatter, and your body a break from the stress of life.
You're welcome to arrive up to 30 minutes early to make yourself comfortable. The session starts promptly on time; doors are locked at start time and late arrivals will not be able to join. Early arrival is encouraged.
We have plenty of props to support your comfort, that are on a first-come basis. You can sit or lie down on our soft (cork) floor. You're welcome to bring anything to make yourself more comfortable (many regular attendees bring a 'nest'). A yoga mat is good to have, but is not necessary or provided.
Let me know if you have any sensitivities to burning incense, Palo Santo or sage.
No-Show policy - if you reserve a spot and don't show up, or if you cancel with less than 2 hours before the session starts, it will count toward the maximum of 3 no-shows allowed. After a third no-show, you will be removed from the group. Please honor our community by honoring your RSVP.
Donations are welcome via cash, Zelle, Venmo (mariah-jacques) or Paypal (mariahjhealing@gmail.com). Donate any amount that feels good for you. All are welcome.
