Why Everything Feels Harder After Loss (Free Grief Workshop)
Details
Are you feeling exhausted, foggy, or easily overwhelmed after a loss?
Many people experiencing grief — whether from death, divorce, illness, estrangement, or another major life change — notice:
• Ongoing exhaustion
• “Grief brain” and trouble concentrating
• Increased anxiety or irritability
• Lower tolerance for stress or social interaction
• Everyday tasks feeling harder than they used to
If you’ve wondered, “Why can’t I function the way I used to?” — you’re not alone. These are common grief responses.
In this free grief education workshop, we’ll use plain language (not neuroscience terms) to explore how loss impacts the nervous system, energy levels, and mental capacity.
You’ll learn why your limits may feel different right now and how to work with your capacity instead of constantly pushing past it.
This is a supportive, educational space — not therapy — and sharing is always optional.
Open to anyone navigating death loss or non-death loss.
LGBTQ+ affirming and inclusive of all identities and relationships.
Hosted by AimeeJo Davis-Varela, Certified Grief Support Specialist, somatic practitioner, and founder of Healing After Loss.
You are not failing at grief.
You may simply be carrying more than most people can see.
This is also posted on other venues, so the number of RSVPs on this event do not necessarily reflect the number of attendees.
